A career built on caring for seniors
Our story began with passion from two different paths, but whose hearts shared the same purpose: caring for others. Gabriela Birkner dedicated her career to serving seniors, helping individuals and families navigate aging with dignity, compassion, and support. At the same time, she experienced the heartbreak of losing beloved senior pets — animals whose unwavering love, comfort, and companionship left a lasting imprint on her heart.
Witnessing the power of connection
PARC Home Care & Hospice cares for individuals during some of life's most vulnerable moments. Through their work in home care, hospice, and palliative services, they witnessed firsthand the profound impact that companionship, comfort, and human connection have on quality of life. This mission has always been committed to making customer service their priority.

They envisioned a nonprofit that would not only help senior pets find loving homes but would also support the seniors who welcome them. They imagined a program where older animals could live out their golden years surrounded by love, where older adults could experience the joy and purpose that comes from companionship, and where every act of kindness could create a ripple effect reaching others in need.
From that vision, PARC Paws was born.

Senior pet sponsorship
We sponsor senior pet adoptions and provide ongoing support for the lifetime care of those animals. No senior pet should spend its final years waiting for a family to love them.
Supporting seniors
We believe no senior should have to choose between companionship and financial concerns. Our support ensures that love and connection remain accessible to all.
Hospice comfort initiatives
For every sponsored adoption, we provide charitable support toward hospice comfort initiatives — helping bring dignity, compassion, and meaningful moments to individuals facing the end of life.
